The Bathing Process

Dogs are cleansed with a shampoo that is kind to the coat and skin. Any shampoo used is free from soaps, alcohol, parabens and SLS to retain the coats natural oils. It reduces the risk of skin irritation to dogs with sensitive skin and puppies alike.

Moisture is removed with a towel and then the dog is thoroughly dried with a blow drier. The blaster helps to dislodge loose hair, the coat is brushed out to remove more hair and dead skin.

A health assessment is carried out and any abnormal findings are reported back to you, a note is made on your dog’s grooming record to ensure it has improved/resolved by the next groom. The health check includes: Coat and skin condition, Eyes and ears, Teeth and gums, Nails and Groin.

What is a Smooth Coat?

A low maintenance coat due to the hairs inability to matt or tangle like other coat types. Smooth coated dogs have short dense hairs that sit tight to the body to retain heat, that denseness of the coat can lead to heavy shedding. During a groom the hairs will be brushed out with various de-shedding tools that suit a short coat.

Bath & Brush Out

Smooth Coated Dogs

All breeds would benefit from a bath and brush out. Smooth coats may appear like they do not shed much, but in fact they do. A professional groom helps reduce shedding around the home and keeps your dog’s coat looking great.
